What is the Arena of Doom?

The Arena of Doom is a series of online tournaments that will be held once a month through Lichess. The tournaments will consist of 3 rounds of 10 min games and will finish in about an hours time. Players must be K-12 and rated U1200 USCF. There must be a minimum of 4 participants. Money prizes given to 1st and 2nd place winners based on 50% of the registrations. 1st place winners will also be commemorated with their photo in the hall of fame. Registration is $15. Prizes will be sent through your preferred choice of Zelle, Cash App, Paypal or when I see you.

How to Join?

To join you must create an account on Lichess which is free. Next move your mouse pointer over where it says community and click where it says teams. Next click on all teams and in the search type in ChessMinds Arena of Doom and click once you found it. Next click on where it says join. It will ask for a pass code to join team which will be given to you once you register for the tournament. You will not have to do this process again once you do it once. The day of the tournament you just click on the ChessMinds Arena of Doom team that you are now a part of and it will show you the tournament schedule and time. Click on the tournament and it will ask you for the tournament password which I will also give you when you register, type it in and just wait on the tournament page and it will start automatically on the time scheduled. Please join the ChessMinds Arena of Doom Team at least 1 or 2 days before the day of the tournament so that you are ready on the day of the tournament.
